Gone to Engineering welcomes incoming engineering students to the Cockrell School through introductory activities, dinner and a student life tabling fair featuring Cockrell School student organizations and student services.

The Cockrell School Welcome Day of Service is an opportunity for first-year students make an impact on Austin through community service while getting to know other Texas Engineering students and staff.

Held annually at UT Austin, Explore UT aims to inform students, parents, teachers and community members from across the state about the importance of the public research institution and higher education in Texas. The day-long event invites Texans of all ages to experience robust research experiences, hands-on demonstrations and experiments, and participate in the richness of the university's scholarship and knowledge.

Cockrell School faculty, students and alumni will represent UT Austin in a variety of panels, presentations and events in Austin's annual SXSW Interactive Festival, a weeklong event focused on emerging technologies across a wide range of industries.

On Friday, May 22, 2020, family and friends will congregate at The University of Texas at Austin to celebrate students graduating from the Cockrell School of Engineering. The Spring 2020 Cockrell School Commencement speaker will be announced in early spring.
