For decades, ExxonMobil has been an ardent supporter of the Cockrell School of Engineering and The University of Texas at Austin. We are the top supplier of engineers to ExxonMobil and in turn ExxonMobil is the top hirer of UT Austin engineers.

Today, there are over 700 Cockrell School alumni who are ExxonMobil employees or annuitants. They work in 40 different countries and over half are stationed in Texas.

Each year, ExxonMobil’s generosity creates countless opportunities for students and faculty across the UT Austin campus. In 2015, ExxonMobil presented UT Austin with a $1.465 million check, the largest matching gift check that ExxonMobil has given to a university. Half was designated for the Cockrell School to support students, faculty and research.

Across Cockrell School departments and programs, ExxonMobil has created scholarships, funded a new regulator training program, provided new lab safety equipment, supported student organizations and much more.
