Multiple Services Out - RESTORED

There have been no further reports of system issues.

All services appear to operating normally at this time.


Update 1:30 pm 10/21/2011

Currently, the login to access the Engineering Career Assistance Center (ECAC) as well as the sign up for the ECAC Externship program continue tobe impacted by the campus-wide issues that began yesterday morning.  The latest update from ITS is that the anticipated return to service is 3 pm today.

The remaining services have been restored although some are operating in a degraded state.


Update 11:00 am

Many ITS services are coming online.  As of 10:45 we are able to access files stored on Austin Disk servers.  As a contingency at this time, and until we get final confirmation from ITS, please access the file you need and copy it to your local machine to work on the file.

 After we get confirmation from the ITS team that the service is fully functional you can copy the file back to the server folder.

Update 10:00 am

ITS continues to work on this situation.  Some services have come back up, but services do not appear stable.  The Engineering ITG will communicate once we have been told the issues have been resolved.


A main disk storage unit on campus is suffering a major outage this morning.  This is affecting multiple major services including Blackberry, Austin Disk and many others.

 We currently do not have an ETA on when these systems will be back online, but will update this post as soon as we know more.
