Dr. C. Grant Willson to receive chemical research award

     Dr. C. Grant Willson, professor of chemical engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and holder of the Rashid Engineering Regents Chair and Collie-Welch Regents Fellow in Chemistry, was selected by the Council for Chemical Research (CCR) to receive the Malcolm E. Pruitt Award. This award recognizes outstanding contributions to research which are achieved through mutually beneficial interactions among universities, government laboratories and the private sector. Dr. Willson received the award, which consists of a plaque and a contribution to a chemistry or chemical engineering department in Dr. Willson's name, at the CCR annual meeting on Sept. 28, 1997 in St. Louis.
