World of Engineering
World of Engineering is a one-day event for K-8 students and their families, who are invited to campus to participate in engineering-based activities led by current UT Engineering students. African-American, Hispanic, Native Hawaiians and Native American students, as well as those who have overcome social or economic hardship, are encouraged to participate.
Participants in World of Engineering will:
- Interact with members of Pi Sigma Pi Minority Academic Engineering Society, the National Society of Black Engineers student group, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers student group and other student ambassadors
- Discover how engineering impacts our world on a daily basis
- Be inspired to continue learning about engineering and encouraged to join the engineering field
