Global Leaders Week Abroad gives students the opportunity to visit another country and learn about the culture, history and engineering challenges specific to that region. Many of the program's participants each year has never before studied abroad, making it an especially rewarding opportunity for students. This highly beneficial program is 10 days long and takes place during UT's spring break, during which students will visit local companies, city centers and universities. They will apply career skills and professionalism learned in the Equal Opportunity in Engineering Program's Career Development and Leadership seminars, which prepare students for their abroad experience. Students must complete the seminars to be considered for Global Leaders Week Abroad.
